Kathy Hollenhorst

President & CEO

Write a short summary of your background/experience.

I am a 30+-year business professional (yep — started when I was 5) working in the restaurant, retail, hospitality, travel and business services industries in both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. Brands I’ve worked on include Caribou Coffee, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Radisson, Country Inn & Suites, TGIFriday’s, Carlson Wagonlit Travel, United Way, Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn. I had the privilege of leading teams of 5 to 50 across all functional areas of marketing and have negotiated business deals in more than 20 countries. As President & CEO of Creatis, I hope to use this “been there done that” experience to make life easier for our clients!

Why do you love Creatis?

As a long-time board member and client of Creatis, I have seen first-hand how Creatis helps marketing teams get things done. I love that we provide high-quality resources, available right when our clients need them and at a “no-excess” cost, so clients can stay within budgets. High quality. Right now. No waste. That’s what I love about Creatis!

Professionally speaking — what makes you special?

I am a self-proclaimed “Intraprenuer,” because I really enjoy creating the next NEW thing within an established organization and helping companies like Creatis grow or evolve.

What are your hidden talents?

I LOVE food — and I love to bake and cook (and eat!). I also play the harmonica, which is somewhat unusual (I learned how to play from my dad). I won’t win any music contests, mind you, but I can play a mean Schottische or Wooden Heart polka when called upon!

If you had the skills, money or talent to do any job in the world you could — what would it be?

Without question — I’d be a professional golfer playing on the LPGA tour. Always had the desire for this — just, unfortunately, never had the game!
