Beyond Walls
Beyond Walls is an out of school enrichment program located at the University of Minnesota that supports economically disadvantaged youth in grades 6th-12th. Beyond Walls takes a long term, high impact approach in supporting youth through three primary program areas: academic enrichment, health and wellness through the racquet sport of squash, and civic leadership development. In its 11 years of operation, the program has seen 100% on time high school graduation and 100% acceptance of graduating seniors into post-secondary institutions.

Tree Trust’s mission is to transform lives and landscapes by engaging people to build skills for meaningful careers, inspiring people to plant trees, and making our community a greener, healthier place to live. They equip people to achieve family-supporting, skilled trade, green careers to create economic opportunity and equity all while planting trees to grow a vibrant and resilient urban forest.
Ruff Start Rescue

They rescue stray, neglected, abandoned, and surrendered dogs and cats as well as ferrets, guinea pigs, rabbits, and other critters. Most of their work is accomplished by a complex network of volunteers, fosters, and supporters, all of whom come together to save thousands of animals each year.
